I was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky in 1967. I am a retired attorney, now working as a professional genealogist with a research emphasis on Kentucky for the period 1774-1824, focusing primarily on land, estate and military textual records, supplemented by DNA autosomal and Y-DNA scientific evidence. I graduated with a B.A. (history) from the University of Kentucky in 1990, and graduated with a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1993. Currently pursuing a M.A. (history) from Missouri State University.
