I am excited to learn more about the Withrow Family Association and for the opportunity to collaborate with others researching the allied lines connected thereto.  I have been involved in Family Research for most of my life, visiting many libraries and historical societies wherever we have lived here in the West, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, California, and Utah.  We have also enjoyed visiting numerous places from Illinois and Iowa to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.

I started to get involved with DNA applications and Family Research through FamilyTree in 2008, and it is for that purpose that I am wanting to reach out to others who believe they are descendants of the Withrow/Woodrow families.

 

My present research has primarily been concentrated along the Mason-Dixon Line, particularly on the Nottingham Quakers settled in and around southwestern Chester County, PA.  We feel quite certain that our ancestry connects directly back to Simeon & Catherine Woodrow through their son Simeon (II) & Jane Wells Woodrow through this couple's daughter Hannah.  We suspect that this Hannah Woodrow marries to become Hannah Louden, who owned a parcel of land on the original 128 acres Simeon Woodrow had secured by Warranty Deed (June 1745) located against East Nottingham Township's Northwest border with West Nottingham Township.  Hannah Louden loses this property through a Sheriff's Sale in 1770.  We believe this is when she marries the adjoining property owner (on the West Nottingham Township side) Adam Miller, and bringing a child(ren) with her into the marriage, becomes our known ancestor, Hannah Miller.    We descend through Adam & Hannah Miller's daughter, Catharine Miller Wilkinson.

Where are the other descendants of Simeon (II) & Jane Wells Woodrow's children who would be willing to correspond and coordinate research efforts?   [Note:  I realize this is a fairly lengthy message.  Feel free to transfer most of the text over to the "Forum" section, or could it be posted in both places?  I am grateful for whatever will work--thank you!]
